Our trip to Europe was planned from A to Z, day by day, all except for London. London was our final destination before we headed back to the Netherlands, and to have a bit of a relaxing holiday, we decided to ‘play by feel‘ when arriving in London. No schedule, just roaming around the city, enjoying English breakfast and pub food. To give you a feel, here are some photos that sums up our stay!
A visit to the Buckingham Palace is a must! We were right on time for the changing of the guards.
London is known for the musicals, so we couldn’t leave without a visit to one of the many musicals they have to offer. Our eyes were set on ‘the Books of Mormon‘ musical due to the fact that Shaun is from Utah (not a Mormon!) and the musical seems to have good reviews. It surely didn’t disappoint us!
The next morning we went to the Harry Potter store at King’s Cross station to take some photos at the famous platform 9 3/4!
Closeby was a vintage fair flea market going on with oldtimers. We were lucky to pass by this amazing English style market!
In the evening we joined a free Jack the Ripper tour, which you could read about it in a previous blog post!
And a few more random photos…
It was very nice to be in London again, too bad the weather was colder than we expected. As you can see, we kept in low key and walked around a lot. I hope you got a good impression of our trip, existing of food and some sightseeings 🙂
