I have heard of Benefit Cosmetics before, and have seen some products, but I was never interested in this makeup brand from San Francisco up until now. After seeing lots of promotions, commercials and photos of a new (and limited) release of the Benefit Cheek Parade, I knew this was the right product for me. And I am not disappointed!
This is my very first Benefit Cosmetics product, so I can’t tell you much about it. But I know a few things about this Cheek Parade. First of, it’s a limited edition. Second, it has five(!) full size bronzers and blushers:
Hoola – matte powder bronzer
Hoola lite – light powder bronzer
GALifornia – sunny golden-pink blush
Dandelion – baby-pink brightening face powder/blush
Rockateur – famously provocative cheek powder
In the Netherlands, each blusher/bronzer costs about 35 euros. This palette costs 60 euros. You’re saving 115 euros if you buy this georgous palette! What a great deal, isn’t it?
Before buying, I did some swatches at Douglas and also tried it on my face to see if the bronzers match my skin. I was surprised how easy it is to blend the Hoola bronzer. It’s also matte enough to use it as contouring powder. Hoola Lite is the light coloured version of Hoola, and is perfect if you want to create a subtle look.
What can I say about GALifornia, Dandelion and Rockateur… They are all blushers in different colors. GALifornia is the most fun looking blush out of the three blushes. The color is a bit peachy and perfect for the Summer. Dandelion is light-pink blush, ideal for a subtle look. It says that Dandelion is a face powder, but for me the color is too pink to use it all over the face. It’s better as a blush.
From the first look, Rockateur looks glamorous with its ‘rocking rose gold’ colors. Ideal for evenings and parties. Included is also a small book with instruction and tips on how to use the palette.
This Cheek Parade is a must-buy for all your Benefit fans. Since it’s limited edition, you have to hurry up. For Dutch people. Buy it online at Douglas or check if the closest Douglas store still have some available. You can also check out AMAZON. If you have doubts, check them out first in a Douglas store before buying, like I did.
This is my first Benefit product, but surely not the last one!
